According to criminal statistics of the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), until June 2016, the crime rate per 1,000 inhabitants was lower than that registered in states like New York, California, Illinois, Arizona, Florida and Texas.
In the month of September, the crime rate at the national level was 122.80 crimes per hundred thousand inhabitants, in the same period, in Puebla there were 79.90 crimes per hundred thousand inhabitants.
Puebla is the eleventh entity with the lowest incidence of crime in the country, registering 42.90 crimes less than the national average.
